"You Snooze, You Loose."

in #life7 days ago

I just read a short summary of the book "The Miracle Morning" and in it, the author starts to say that if you snooze, you loose. What does he mean? If you click the snooze button on your alarm in the morning, you have already taken the first step in the wrong direction.

This made me curious, and the author continued by saying that the problem isn't the fact that you are losing 15 minutes. Instead, the problem is that you are saying no to your life, and you are showing that you dislike your life.

That made me think. Is that really so? What is it that the author might think of?

If you have a great program ahead, then you are just eager to get to the program and to get started. But, when you wake up in the morning and click the snooze button, you are somehow saying that you aren't really that eager to get started with the program. It might mean that you aren't that enthusiastic about what is about to happen in the coming minutes and hours. And that is a problem. In other words, if you have problems getting up in the morning, with or without the snooze button, then it might actually say more about what is going on at your inside than you might think.

Of course, there are people who love going to bed early and getting up early, and then you have the B-people, those who rather stay up late and then get up late. But, it isn't necessarily about when you get up, but how you get up, and what you feel and think as you get up.

I must admit, I am still chewing on the quote, beause I am not sure that I entirely agree here, but still, it has made me think, and I guess that is the most important of it all... and it for sure states something about the importance of actually being enthusiastic about your own life.
