Four Books You Must Read at Least Once

in #life7 years ago

There is a Quote "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one". I always heard that books are the most loyal friends but unfortunately I never get the chance to make friends in my early days. But when I got the chance, I regret the time I spend without books. Here are my four most favorite books which helped me in different aspects of my life.

The Alchemist (Paulo Coelho)

If you don't believe in destiny, I would recommend you read this book by Paulo Coelho. After reading this book you will know that if you want something, you can have it.
"When you really want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it (The Al-Chemist)"

Who moved my cheese? (Spencer Johnson)

Wise people say "Don't judge a book by its cover". I was a novice. First I think what kind of cover is it but when I start reading it, it was so much relatable to my everyday life. I had a problem with getting attached to things and was never good in "letting go". This book taught me a lot in so much lighter and effective way that I actually understood the power of "Don't judge a book by its cover" and I will always be in debt to the author (Spencer Johnson) of this life changing book. Everyone should read this one.

The NEW one minute manager (Ken Blanchard, Spencer Johnson)

For the corporations and the managers of the fast changing work and hence the work force, I would suggest to read this one. It is story of a guy who wanted to know how what it takes to be an effective manager. I don't want to spoil the suspense that how just 3 simple rules can make the work environment so better, effective and efficient. If you are a manager, this is a MUST read for you.

Good to Great (Jim Collins)

This book is a bit thick than the rest of my collection but it is total worth it. It is also for corporations and it provides us statistical details and comparison on how good companies can become great and why great companies cannot hold its position for too long. It is a study of companies performance for 15 years to determine what make or break them. If you are an entrepreneur, this book is for you. Don't make the mistake people already made.

I hope I will get some suggestions of some good books in the comments.

Thanks and Happy posting :)
