If all you saw in a microscope was 'bits' you didn't do much with it, and that not well. I will say this: I am certain that what I have seen in microscopes are living creatures. I am a biologist. I am familiar with how ecosystems function, and how life feeds on life. Those little creatures I have seen certainly eat, and undoubtedly eat larger things. I see that fungi eat trees, mold eats fruit I let go bad, rats eat corpses, and that pathogens eating us is absolutely certain to be happening beyond any doubt.
I'm not trusting anyone for the information on which I base my assessment of biology and germ theory.
You're denying that there are little tiny things that eat us, and that's just ridiculously stupid.

I agree that the various phases of the microbiome eat things, and are living. Do They CAUSE disease? No. They clean up - and when they are not overwhelmed, they keep Us healthy. Like firefighters do not cause the fire.
And if, by "not trusting," You mean You won't look to consider what is said... Because You have it all worked out... I can grasp why We're at loggerheads.
