"....they had come up with the technology to be able to track schizophrenia patients as to if they were taking their meds on time."

That's been invented long ago. It's called 'medication time' when patients are given their meds by nurses.

"...the mRNA was capable of sending messages to the body."

In fact mRNA is a message to the body. It's instructions on how to build proteins. Now, if you can get a message to send a message, you'd have something else besides mRNA. It's getting pretty recursive, though.

Sort:

Noubar Afeyan explains the promise of messenger RNA by comparing it to the more controversial concept of changing an individuals DNA. He notes changes to the DNA can be essentially permanent, like hardware. By contrast messenger RNA is more like software: it can be used to perform a task and then can be programmed to disappear.

Wow, lookie there Ralph, two messages in one shot. Eat your words.

You eat them. You're putting them in my mouth. Doing a job is what mRNA does, and disappear is what things do when they're done. You're getting senile or summat.

Go look at Liebers patents, it can distinguish differences in cells, so it has to be a multiple messenger.

Multiple messengers is entirely certain. Myriad formulations were tested. Every lot had a differing injury rate. That's because every lot was a different formulation, a different mix of medical devices being tested.
