'Phoenix - Retro Gaming'

Some of you with a bit of time behind them might remember Phoenix, a legendary arcade game that paved the way into what we call gaming industry today. As a kid, I've spend hours playing Phoenix in a sports centre where grown-ups were playing tennis. And I was pretty good, as regulars knew they'll probably wait for hours when they saw me at the door. :D

In those days the games were huge boxes, one would play standing. The game itself was simple. Had five stages and then everything started from the beginning with a higher speed. The first two levels were fighting against space birds that would attack and bombard your spaceship.

The second two were the big birds and it would require a different game style to pass those. When I stood by this retro machine, the most insane was to hear the squeaky sounds which I immediately remembered very well.

The final level was the mothership. It was the final effort to close the game. The funny thing was that every level had (has) a cheat spot from which you'd have better chances of winning. The whole thing was so predictable that one could easily pass each level if the best tactics were applied.

I have no idea how many times, I've killed that alien in the centre of the mothership. Crazy, right? Today people seldom play a game over and over again... Well, we didn't have better back them.

Enjoy your day! :)

wow, really very talented gaming picture and name very attractive. i hope that, this game being very interesting.but i am first time listen this game matter. I well remember this game, it was popular. Now seeing your photos I had a pleasant feeling of nostalgia.i had some dependence on the console. It was so fascinating to me that I could play video games for a long time. At that time it was steeper than in our time to have an excellent computer. In addition, it was an excellent motivation to get high scores in class at school. As a child, my parents motivated me with a console. When I received high scores - I could play video games and buy new ones if I received low scores - I would sit in the room and stud.. Now I remember this time with a smile on my face. Even now, I would not refuse to plunge into that atmosphere and experience these feelings.thanks to sharing for your great post of game..very well done.take care yourself and best of luck of your great work and take care yourself.maygod bless you..my dear friend.. @velimir

During my childhood, there were no similar slot machines. However, we had game consoles that we connected to the TV and played through it. For children to have a home of such a prefix was a great happiness. I well remember this game, it was popular. Now seeing your photos I had a pleasant feeling of nostalgia.

I have never played this game but it looks so much like Space Invaders. I spent countless hours shooting at aliens and levelling up in that game. Ahhhh, the golden days, way back when Atari was the king of video games until it crashed and burned. It is so fun to play these nostalgic games once in a while.

I remember the game. I played it may be for a year or so in my childhood. But i tell you those were actually the days when we had lots of fun. Simple games and simply ectraordinary memories. Simplicity at its peak. The game was great. It was like a wonder at the time.

I've played plenty of games but the starting ones are the games which made the gaming industry the industry that is today.
i am a programming student still learning and my goal is to make a game for final project and then start learning unreal engine to become a part of gaming industry

These photos brought me childhood memories with this game😢❤️
thanks❤️

You did well hhhh I remember this game! I played it some years ago and was fun. Also Pacman and Tetris! They are all nice memories :D

I played this game a long time ago. Arcade games were fun in these days. Nice to let me remember my youth.

I didn't play it yet.. But I think I will do.

Nice post by the which consol games are these i think its sega.?

Those are the days that a square in screen looks so good as long as it is moving in colors. How I miss the days that life and small things are so simple!

I heard a lot about these games but I never practiced them, the images look super quality, the colors very striking. It must have been fantastic for you and it was good that you were able to enjoy it. Hehe

This game was the start point for gaming industry.
It is not comparable to today's striking super quality.

Yes, technological advances are more impressive every day. In these types of games you see even more.
