HEAVY RAIN OUTCOMES - 100 Years Old "Unique Tree" Fall Story in Karachi, Pakistan

in #life8 years ago

Aga Khan University Hospitals in Karachi, Pakistan and Nairobi, Kenya are private, not-for-profit institutions providing high quality health care. The Main Hospitals serve as the principal sites for clinical training for the University's Medical Colleges and Schools of Nursing and Midwifery in Pakistan and East Africa.

In Karachi, known as one of the most recognized landmarks of  this hospital, the beautiful tree (picture below) was installed within the premises of AKUH on 17th March, 2013 and this tree was brought as a gift from Barcelona, Spain for 1.4 million Pakistani Rupees (13350 dollars). Some people say that this is tree was 100 years old when imported from Spain.

Today, sadly, this tree is not on its position anymore due to the heavy Karachi rainfall.

This is really sad to see by my eyes and I hope the hospital management will try its best to reinstall this beautiful tree once again and enables many visitors/patients/workers to enjoy selfies with this master piece.
