One of New York City’s largest projects will soon begin construction. Brookfield Property Partners recently closed on a financing-deal for One Manhattan West, according to the Commercial Observer.
The tower will be the first – and largest – building in the massive Manhattan West project.
One Manhattan West will be an amazing 67-story office building. It will contain more than 2 million square-feet of space. Accounting firm EY (formerly known as Ernst & Young) has already pre-leased a large portion of the building.
Overall, the Manhattan West project will consist of 6 buildings, totaling more than 7 million square feet. The project includes another 56-story office building. A 62-story apartment building called The Eugene and a boutique hotel called The Pendry will also be built. On the retail side, developers have already lined-up Whole Foods and popular cycling club Peloton. Many other retailers are expected as well.
The development will also feature a 2-acre park/events plaza.
The location of Manhattan West is key. It is located at the foot of the High Line. Hudson Yards – another of New York’s other huge developments – is literally across the street. Penn Station and Madison Square Garden are only a block away.
The picture has been a great place to highlight a beautiful place in the film.
