This is the movie from 1988 starring Roddy Piper as Nada, a down on his luck construction worker who discovers a pair of special sunglasses that shows him the world as it really is such as, showing the hidden meaning behind the media and advertisements which tells you to conform, obey, stay asleep and submit to authority etc.

Also, while wearing these sunglasses, Nada (Roddy Piper) is also able to see some seemingly human looking people, only to discover, that they are actually zombie looking aliens that are responsible for the deception in the world in order to keep the real humans subdued and under complete control (very much like real life, some might say).
