No, I'm not preparing for today.
December 24th is not Christmas with us. We do not celebrate anything. People go to their jobs and at midnight there used to be a church. Today we are in a lockdown again because that's what the government wants for the people although they celebrate.
Some churches might open their doors though because they care more about the needs of the people (the healthiest people live in these regions).
Christmas starts on December 25 with us. This year a weekend. Let's hope it will bring something good, something that benefits many and the spirit isn't forgotten on Monday.

Hi in the Netherlands it is also used to eat special food together in the evening 24th of december. Also at work you get a christmasbox full of goods worth around 100 euro or something else from your work.
Perhaps with you but I do not know one single family who ever had dinner at December 24th. Not from origin. Same if it comes to presents. Newly adapted customs from?
The Christmas box is a joke and many never received one. I never had one with a value of 100 euros.
My daughters Christmas box (first time) nothing that had to do with Christmas not even Winter... left overs the hotel bought for their guest dumped in boxes.
Many got sacked during Christmas.
My best box btw was a gift from the red cross and salvation army years ago. It contained real food (boerenkool)things people need and will use. Not garbage or products that end up in the trash can.
well My direct environment got it worth around 50-100 euro. It's a pitty you were left out of it. I was really enjoying some of the things and some you think why is it in that box.
yes christmas is the time of evictions tax and other collectors that try to make the year good. Also businesses fail or have to cut costs at the new year. This will be the thing coming christmas.
