Spring is near! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be happy to know Spring is near. For some crazy reason I have not been excited that it has been winter. Usually winter is my second favorite season, followed by fall. I love the cold and being bundled up near a fireplace. The food, smells, and lighting always puts me in a good mood. However this past winter has been a bit difficult. It's the first Winter where I worked from home. Maybe it was the loneliness or seasonal depression but something made me off. It's already started warming up and I can tell I'm already getting better.
Spring starts next week and I can't help to think of all the fun things we'll do the next coming weeks. Hopefully this weekend we can find time to work on our garden. I know Nico would love to get her hands dirty. She's always looking for a reason to get dirty. That or run around half naked.
Last year we planted tomatoes, basil, and bell peppers. The year prior we had cucumbers, carrots, lettuce, and onions. We're always learning something new about gardening. It's not something Rob and I are good at but we're definitely trying. This year I'm hoping to plant more tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, and herbs. Something is so rewarding going out to your garden and picking out dinner.
Last year I was working at a salon and didn't get to spend as much time with Nico. This year I'm lucky enough to stay at home with her. She has been my little adventure buddy these past few weeks. It's been an adjustment being a stay at home mom again but I'm up for the challenge. It gives us more time to bond before she starts school full-time.
