Surfing in Panama at El Palamar

in #life7 years ago

This is the first time I've ever surfed and actually been able to stand up and ride some waves. Starting with the baby waves is a huge help for the confidence, but also helps you really understand the timing and mechanics of surfing.

It seems so easy when someone is telling you what to do, but once you have to get up on your own it's a whole different ballgame. This beach was perfect, 1-2 foot waves, warm water, and nothing but sun all day.

All images looks like you are dancing "shaku shaku" lol don't worry it's a Nigerian dance.

Hey @saefhenry that sounds like a pretty cool dance!

It is!!! As a matter of fact,we Nigerians love to dance and it's trending. You can check it out on youtube. Just type "shaku shaku dance".

Happy anjoy holiday frands ,nice post

You know it's highly addictive don't you? Just a word of warning, I been surfing 30 years and can't seem to kick the habit :)

what's your favorite spot @alkhemst? I'm gonna go again this weekend in Malibu, CA

Far away from CA, down under in Australia. In my younger days it was a heavy wave called Buggeries, called that because it was a long time and hard bush walk to get there, left one feeling "buggered" (Aussie slang for extremely tired) even before getting in the water.

I agree with @Alkhemst... Best addiction on the planet! Even the days when you get beat up by Monstro waves :D

Congratulations! That sport is on my bucket list.
