Systemic vs Holistic Approach to Business and Life-

Human beings are meant to exist and thrive within systems of nature. The paradigm of force, which applies the act of shaping the systems to fit man-made and irregular models is near death, as close as human beings are in fact. We have collapsed our environment by boxing it off piece by piece. A simple example of this is the effect we have upon our waterways of the earth and the effect this has upon al other systems of the planet. Inherently, all the systems are truly one organism, and when we remove this perception and rather look to each element individually we see that we begin to have ignorance to the true meaning and function of even that one component we have focused upon.
Holistic is a term that describes the entirety of existence. When we look at health holistically, we look to the environment around the diseased aspect. If a human is diseased, what environment are they in? If a cell is diseased, what is the environment? If many humans are diseased, what is the environment? If many cells, what is the environment? When a cell is diseased, we can see cancer, anemia, and other such things. When a human is diseased, we can see violence, depression, fear, and other such things. The major difference in classification here is looking to how the epicenter of the illness is affecting the environment, and how the environment is affecting the epicenter. It is like concentric waves moving toward and away from an island. What is actually occurring when an entity becomes ill is that something needed for its health is lacking, and that can only be environmental. In the holistic approach, there is no boundary witnessed between the systems, though systems do exist.
When we look only through the lens of systems approach, we apply incorrect terms to systems. An astrologer will argue for astrology on any topic. Anesthesiologists will argue for anesthesiology. Frackers will argue for fracking. This is a fundamental issue with the western view of life, which is no longer just a western view, but has spread like a virus planet wide. When we identify with only a section, at the lapse of perceiving the sections around that one, or even more importantly with the entire organism, we diagnose life with incorrect assumptions based on our limited understanding.
This can be called two things. One is simple awareness/observation, which does not distinguish between parts. The other is Intellect, which has only the capacity to distinguish and organize. Observation in its purest form is meditation. Meditation is the act of non-being, in which one’s perception of life becomes unified with that which is being observed. If one is in the act of observing anything in meditative awareness, the limiting notions and boundaries fall asunder and are nonexistent. In this state, what you look at is the whole, observed holistically, to its absolute. This is the ultimate and final participation in the holistic approach.

When looking at life holistically, we look to the patterns and environments. We look to see beyond what we are seeing to understand the greater movement of energy.

Applying this approach to business, is no greater a task than it is applying it to life. To make and benefit from any endeavor, whatever it is that you do must benefit life and its progression in some way. The greatest benefit we see in any action taken by any entity is the act that benefits more than the single entity. When we perform any act that benefits the organism as a whole, we have made a greater effect naturally than any action taking that benefits only one piece or part. In business, when we provide for greater access to resources that make the lives better of customers, partners, clients, sponsors, or whatever it may be, we make our individual and collective lives better. A better life can be described as quality of life. If the quality of life for all people reaches a certain point of wellbeing in which no person ever lacks the capacity and access to eat unadulterated food, drink clean and untampered water, sleep undisturbed in the method and style of their choosing, and explore the planet at their leisure and pleasure, we will see this planet existing in the way it is best suited and intended by nature.
In business, we use systems to distinguish units and experiment with results in different venues. This allows for an exploration into what modes of organization work best to share access to wellbeing across all the cultures, regions and practices of the planet. Today, we see that a clear majority of business done does not serve greater humanity and planetary life because it is founded upon ideas of scarcity and territorialism, which both inhibit energy exchange in whatever they are involved in. The aggression of individual groups against other individual groups, both holding power in the form of managing energy exchange in greater scales produces worldwide suffering. When we relieve this form of control from the aggressing figures, we can see that people will adapt to fit more efficient and health-centric models of exchange. When we attend to the results rather than focusing upon the problems, we begin to unfold an understanding that if we simply allow business to flourish in free exchange, regulation will occur by the will of the people. Results based focus means paying attention to what happens when we take action, rather than only looking to the action and disregarding the result. Why do we plant a tree? If it is an apple tree, it is for apples. If we plant the tree in healthy soil, water it daily, and provide it access to the sun, it will grow. In some time, you will receive apples. If the tree is healthy, the apples will be a benefit to the person who eats them. If the apples are not good for the one eating them, you may see that somewhere along the line of planting and caretaking the tree, it was not done well, and thus one may see a benefit in planting a whole new tree.
Understand what I am saying here. If the system we are using is not producing good fruit (wellbeing) for the people feeding off of it… We need a new system. It is simple. It is necessary.
