I spent 4 days fishing Ucluelet for Halibut and Salmon in 2004. Incredibly beautiful region with seals and killer whales making daily appearances. I caught a 25 lb Halibut and 2 ~10lb Salmon about 8 miles out into the Pacific. I got the Halibut jigging a massive spoon off of the bottom in about 400 feet of water. A couple of the days the weather was pretty bad so we ended up fishing bays to avoid the waves. I caught numerous small groupers and other fish I've never seen or heard of. It was an amazing experience, British Columbia is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Yes the ocean in this area is magical. Yeah i also saw a whale....it was an amazing moment and also a large eagle grabbed a dead fish on our boat. Wow you sounds like you have a bit of experience fishing. Do you live near these parts or were you just visiting. Thanks for commenting on my post.
I'm a nut when it comes to fishing unfortunately mostly fresh water, I live in Toronto so somewhat land locked. I took a trip out to BC for a week to do some fishing. One day I hope to move there as my favorite hobbies are fishing and skiing and I cant think of a better suited place.
Yeah BC, is great for the outdoors. Hunting is another fun sport. Actually if you ever need a canvas wall tent me and my pops manufacture them here in vancouver. Toronto eh? I suppose fresh water fishing is just as fun. If you are knowledged in your hobbies im 100% sure it would enhanced the experience. 😉
