A friend told me this quite a while ago but didn't give much thought to it. I think that is down to his person, he is not a serious type. Don't go all out on me just yet. I think we all have that friend, and don't crucify me if I decide to tell you about mine, just listen and maybe some other time I might get to hear about yours.
Least I forget, this is not about my numb sack friend though it is about what he said, how knowledge comes with a burden. A burden that sometimes outways the consequences of ignorance.
Ignorance is bliss right? Like my fav rapper Kendrick Lamar said, it quite amazing how this things are telling, we sometimes hear them and be like oooh yea, he said it and that's all not really having a second thought as to the meaning of what was said.
I will give you an example, I am from Africa, you thought I'd stop there? No way, I am Nigerian and say 2000 years ago, am sure we existed, forget about the history that started at colonialization and we had a life, a beautiful one I can be sure of that and guess what? I don't know if they know that having sex with someone you are not married to is bad or sinful but someone came along a said ***Hey, you are uncivilized, come let me show you what civilization is and in the process taught me religion.
Am not saying religion is bad, it is just an instance but get the point, if I hadn't been told I would have been a free being, having sex with all unmarried and married people, as many as I can. But come to think about it, it would have been...let me hold my peace.
It is quite through that people die for lack of knowledge, and that is because someone else had the knowledge so is judging them by his or her knowledge, in other words I am saying knowledge is an infliction.
An infliction of guilt arising from urge to act. When you know, you become worried, it comes with a burden, come to think of it, a man will be very happy with himself till he goes for a routine check up in the hospital and discovers there is a lump somewhere in the body called cancer, the knowledge of that brings alot of burden you can imagine.
From the above anology we can deduce that some people are derived of their happiness because of what they have come to know, last month I stubbled on a vegan, and I was stunned by Her interpretation of me eating meat, calling it all sort of names like cruelty and all.
Am not about to justify that but to say, the next time after that meeting that I was to eat meat, I felt some strange feeling, not that it stopped me though but something was triggered in me because I heard someone call it cruelty and I have come to know.
Not all knowledge are burdens but most are as I think knowledge is abstract and can not be measured till you own it either by telling or otherwise. Long story short no one knows "you know" until you do something and that right there is the burden am talking about.
Thanks for going through this post.
WOW,
I understand the point that you are making. There are some people in this world that do not know about crypto currency or hollywood, some people do not even know that there is civilization, they do not have access to the internet. They are living their lives, taking it one day at a time. They are not bothered, they are contented with their lives.
I bet you that when just these people is exposed to civilization and the world out there, they become bothered and begin to strive to achieve worldly standards.
Hehehehehe
Now I see that you are 💯 % seated in my mind.))
I was doing fine before I knew steemit, but now every new invention on Blockchain means so much to mean, like I want to know everything.
Lol

Hahahaha. But then there would be chaos. I like to dissect "having sex with both unmarried and married." I dont think such a thing happened before the colonial masters. I think we had sanity. However, if we did sleep around, we would have issues with 'low sperm count' wont we? The content is thought provoking.
