Just this morning about 5am I had a horrifying dream that woke me up prematurely from my peaceful slumber. And as I open my eyes I became numb and was unable to move for about 30 seconds. I suffered what they call "sleep paralysis." It feels like something or someone was trying to hurt me by pressing my chest tightly right at the spot where my heart was. But I believe that God's word is true and is a perfect refuge in time of trouble. So while I'm in that trouble I recited in my mind, for I was unable to speak, Psalm 23:4-6 where it says that "even if I walk in the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me, you anoint my head with oil, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me." As I recite it in my mind an unexplainable element suddenly covered my whole body. It resembles the feeling of how a strong wind wraps you while you are riding a roller coaster or a vehicle at full speed. The feeling was very assuring. I believe that it is Christ's spirit that covered me the entire moment. Then I was able to move again and was unharmed after the situation which is totally different from my experiences of sleep paralysis in the past where my heart would extremely hurt afterwards. I hope to encourage some people with this experience of mine. The word of Christ is sharper than a two edged sword. It is powerful enough to get you through any trouble. Start to believe and trust in him while time still permits you. Have a blessed day!
