hello friends..I has a lot of days to write a post here on steemit but I am not away. I read steemit articles and upvoting every day. What can I say? it is an addiction :P
Today after 10 days of absence I decided to post a story my grandmother used to telling me when I was a kid. My grandmother back then, was trying with this story to make me love myself as I am and never let anyone change me..I hope you will like it!! Enjoy :))
In a lush green forest full of life, there was a beautiful and dazzling peacock. Everybody was envied for his colors, his body, his wings. It was unique.
One day he was trying to charm a female peacock. As a result, the female was impressed by his beauty and decided to become a couple.
As time went by, his partner began to feel disadvantaged in comparison with him and so she said to him: You know my love, because you are more impressive than me, if you love me, you have to change a little bit … so that I can look equal to you.
The male peacock, wishing to show his love the next day, stopped to walk proudly and began to quarrel and try to hide behind his beloved to make her look prettier.
While this was going on, a nice day the female peacock said: You know my love, although now I feel a little better … you still have your beautiful colors while I do not. If you love me you have to make me feel better.
The male in his attempt to make his partner happy, decides to dirty his wings by rolling into the mud … so he did!
So he went to his beloved, with the wings of his tail raised and his body full of mud to impress her showing his love.
As she sees him, she feel worse saying that although he has hidden the colors of his wings, the colorful and impressive tail, made her feel insecure because another female could be fascinated by him.
Then the male wondered in himself: Why bother her what I am? Since she met me .. I am the same person! Before he can finish his thoughts, she said irritably: If you want me to love you, like you do, you have to do something about it. And then she left.
Exhausted after a long time, he goes to the lake to drink water. What he will look on the lake will scar him forever. As he reaches the lake, he sees his image mirrored in the water. It was the moment when he started crying … he was wondered: Who is he? I was not like that.
Before I was and I looked happy! now? Only misery I can discern in my idol. As soon as he realizes it, his beloved comes and seeing her partner in these crap and discomfort, tells him: How did you become like that? There is nothing on you to charm me anymore … you do not look like yourself! You were the most impressive and unique beautyful peacock I had ever met met. I’m sorry, but I do not recognize you … I’m leaving!
So the peacock realized, how he punished and wronged himself in the name of supposed love.
That’s when he understood, what love is not.
At last he began with as much power was left to care for himself, to purify him, to comfort him, to love him … giving him a promise that will not leave anyone again to change him, simply because he accepted for the first time what he really is and that which is really worth it.
And there he understood, what love is!!

In conclusion, my friends always remember that our self is our treasure!
The real love, does not judge, does not degrade, does not try to change you, … only accepts you … Do not let anyone tell you that you are something less than this wonderful and unique person that you really are … The only thing you have to do is just to see the treasure inside you !
thanks for reading :)

🎤 I want to know what love is. 🎤
You reminded me of a good classic rock song.
Now, for a more serious note, I will share the following quote on love.
Perfect story that ends to a perfect conclusion. Totally agree that pure love wants you the way you are. The perfect example are kids. Ask one child what wants from you to change. He or she will tell you only the truth. Maybe he will want more time from you or to laugh more. Defently something that will make your heart feeling nice. Resteemed!!😊😊😊
