No one said this was going to be a cake walk. I'm holding out hope that the universe is going to reward our outside the box, risk averse lifestyle choices. But who knows what the future holds? All I can personally do is stay strong and hold out hope that my initial visions and dreams of the world planting something in my lap comes to fruition.
I'm definitely having an easier go at this than my wife. Which is quite the double edged sword. I personally don't have any real daily qualms down here, but seeing my wife struggle day to day with dealing with the kids is something that sucks so much, because there really isn't much I can do to quell the issues at the moment. She wants to be settled somewhere. But that's not an option until certain boxes get checked off.
TIME
It's all we have right?
That's another double edged sword for me right now. I have another 4 1/2 months to figure this out, which to me, seems like plenty...on the other hand, that's 4 1/2 months of my wife struggling on the daily.
I still see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's just...how long is it going to take to get there?
That is the ultimate question.
This is a long one, but the most in depth portrayal of our story thus far. I hope you'll give it a watch, and even some input, advice, or words of encouragement to help keep us going.
Thanks for reading & watching.
Hive on.
Yikes! Talk about rough! You need to keep your head down and steer clear of the Federales! I hope things turn around for you and stuff falls into place so you can settle into your routines and normal life.
If they wanna f with ya, they're gonna f with ya. I just try and stay low profile, but my whole life I've been a cop magnet, been pulled over 40+ times. Some legit, some not, I know how to handle myself now, so it's more of just an inconvenience, especially when I know I did nothing wrong.
I hope things works out too, thanks @bozz.
Oh wow! That is crazy. I have been kicking around over forty years and only been pulled over 3 to 4 times! I was absolutely speeding for two of them. The other two... My racial profile is pretty favorable though when it comes to that sort of thing.
It's always tough the first few months in a new place. Especially a new country, where there are language and cultural barriers. It will get better! I hope you guys get settled soon so the family can get into a more reliable routine. That will help a lot. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
Getting settled would be the greatest thing on earth right now. It would solve a lot of issues. I had a business meeting today to get some #'s nailed down on a specific project. Fingers crosses they come back looking good and I can get moving on a business.
Happy to share. Happy to see someone care :)
Raw! Seeing Elise emotional is breaking me up :( Piter does a fantastic job "interviewing". Still much more to watch.
I know man, it's been tough on her and tough for me to enjoy myself fully knowing how hard of a time she is having. But everyone says the first few-6 months are the hardest...so I keep telling her it will get better, just gotta trust the process.
We'll see what happens.
And yes! Piter did a phenomenal job! He said he wished he did better, but I think he was fantastic!

Hi @juliavicee, thanks for your reply. I saw that you were born in Michigan, where did you grow up?
