My Journey From Professional Software Engineer to Marketing Manager

I would like to share my story on how I turned to marketing as my profession though being a Software Engineer.

The journey begins, when I graduated in the year 2008, the same year market went for a toss and everyone was running pillar to post to save their jobs. Yes, it was recession!

Employers were not ready to hire freshers, and experienced guys were in fresher’s shoe. I still remember those days when I got rejected for being a fresher without any formal oral or written interview.

After repeated attempts & striving I was still jobless. Then I got introduced to one of my older cousins, he was recruiting for marketing position & owned a staffing solutions company.

He first got me trained in basics of marketing, roles & responsibilities. And then he started pushing me on live interview calls to make me understand how the whole process works. I started picking the pain points and continued focusing on it which results in landing in my dream job & I was satisfied!

Since then I never let anyone down, be it a professional career or in my personal life, I' always remain an overachiever!
