Yes, guys. Another few months later I got to do a meet-up with the gang. Of course, others were still busy and couldn't make itđ. I'm sure they have their valid reasons for it too. Thanks to this I certainly have been refreshed from all the hustling and bustling of life.
A quick greet: Hello guys, hope you are doing good and are healthy. I have a quick update on my life that I just have to share as it turned out to be memorable.
I remember the last time going for a hangout 3 months ago! Here's the link to that memorable day.
This time however I let the guys know that it had been a long time and we had to do a meet-up. Mind you, I have been studying relentlessly and was hoping for the day to arrive sooner. My exams had just finished and some of my friends' had just started. We are in different departments. I told them it was going to be in a place which used to be our den, at the nearby 8-ball pool place.
I call it the usual place because this was the place where we used to regularly visit after our school days. There were 6 of us, others joined but later they drifted apart.
The day started with me, hands on my head, thinking about the approaching nightmare, the midterms.
I had studied hard and was hoping that I would remember the stuff. Exam time came, and the faculty gave the great news of shortening our questions i.e. making the exams easier.
There were 3 of us in the same course and we planned it all about a week before making it official, our hangout that is.
I completed it and asked them to go to the place, now, the whole of BD is having an issue with electricity. We decided to walk to that place as it was relatively near and all of us were drenched in sweat. I have very active sebaceous glands. The sweating made my t-shirt have a deeper color. There we found that the electricity wasn't gone... they wouldn't turn on the air conditioners because it wouldn't be profitable for them... we had to take their offer of playing for an hour for a price of BDT 360, otherwise, they wouldnât turn it on, what a load of crap.
I wanted to go to another place but that was nowhere near.
We started to play regardless. An hour passed and 3 more guys showed up, another friend was missing from the place thoughđ. 1 of them made a surprise visit. I forgot to take a group photo through my friendâs phone, sadly my phone was, again, at 1%.
The pics provided were taken thanks to my desperate attempt to make a quality postđ .
We played for over 1 hour and 30 minutes. By this time the electricity had gone out for good. More body heat raised the temperature. Yet, all this time was filled with corny jokes, weird hitting postures, and talk about our glory days at school.
We planned more events but Iâm sure that that too will be done after a month or so. In that time we finished 10 games. During that time the electricity came back and the guys in charge finally decided to turn on the AC.
After the games were over, the guy in the middle of the photo, Dihan wanted to know more about how to deliver a strike with power.
I let Erfan, the guy on the left of the photo, teach a few pointers. I and Erfan were the ones to grace the pool board every day after school, regardless of others showing up. The nostalgia hit me well. Of course, I was the better player even then.
It then dawned on me that none of us had lunch, so we headed to the nearest most affordable place. 3 of the guys went over to Jamuna Future Park while the 4 of us went for lunch.
The food was terrible and I didnât take out my phone for that kinda food.
I did take some pictures through my friendâs phone though. One of them is this.
I call them freestyles. Basically, us being weird. The handsome hunk on the left side of the pic is yours trulyđ.
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy it!
