Well ... I'm sitting here at the cafe once more having my coffee and the waiter brings the bill over to me. I paid him with my "fiat" and then I remember the time when I paid someone in Steem for a meal. This was @danielwong's burger place called Big Hug Burger.
During the times when STEEM was above 1 USD a typical post payout would help a lot in an individual's financial ... hey it does pays the bill.
Anyway .... since 2 years ago there was no actual Steem wallet or mobile app to transfer Steem ... it has to all be done manually. So after having burgers at Big Hug Burgers and wanted to pay in STEEM , I had to manually transfer the Steem over.
Instead of Transfering to the account of @danielwong ... i accidently sent it to the wrong account named @daniel .
OF course, it had to be an inactive account which is just sitting down there and there is no way get that amount of STEEM back. Even after 2 years since this happen ... my 4 STEEM which I sent is still there untouched.
So I googled today those who has actually sent STEEM to the wrong person ... as I'm 100% certain that I'm not the only one who has mistakenly done so.
So after googling and searching .. I found this post about an account https://steemitwallet.com/@ashleigh/transfers which had transfered about $250k worth ( value at that time ) of STEEM to the wrong account called @minorityreport
Well ... 137k worth of Steem is not as huge of a value now, however its still significant enough to support authors. Here was the post that lead me to this transfer. I think the owners of the account were able to connect and resolve the matter after weeks of powering down.
