The beach here in Lo de Marcos is a northwest facing beach. The south swells that dominate summer surf here on the Pacific side of Mexico don’t really break here.
The second week of September has brought the first sign that seasonal changes are coming, and the daily surf of winter will soon be a reality once again. A solid 2m northwest swell has blessed our little point break.
A couple dozen surfers have come to enjoy the four or five days of shoulder to head high waves, and camp on this beautiful empty beach.
We’re living just 5 blocks away from the beach and are so grateful to surf every day of this rare early season swell.
The point from my beach chair is gorgeous. Deep into the rainy season, the hillside is covered in vibrant green jungle foliage. Just a stunning sight to behold.
The beach is so empty. It amazes me that places like this still exist. Places so stunningly beautiful yet, almost no one is here enjoying it. In this modern world of densely populated mega cities, places like this are actually, surprisingly, everywhere. They can be found in countries all over the world.
Our world doesn’t have an overpopulation problem. One needs only explore the vast empty places on earth to see this is true. The problems attributed to overpopulation, are, in fact, caused by uneven distribution of the population.
Just a few years ago, for the first time ever, more people on earth live in cities than in rural communities. This population of city dwellers relies more and more on modern systems for their daily needs. The inefficiency of these systems shows up in the terrible and heavy toll we see on our global environment.
A new factor has been thrown into this mix. One that I hope will begin to “right the ship”. The concept of decentralization has begun to make its way into our consciousness. A move away from corrupt, inefficient centralized systems is sweeping through nearly everything we do. With the simple ability to work online, people are now able to live almost anywhere.

I see places like this drawing more and more digital nomads as they spread out from the densely populated cities to the places they really want to live. No longer bound to a location by their employment, people find themselves free to explore their dreams of living in the forest or way out on a small farm where they can grow their own food. Or maybe even an isolated tropical beach location in a foreign country, where a daily surf session becomes a reality.

Amazing photos I’d love to visit Mexico some day and also be able to have a beach all to myself with all the Mexican food I could possibly want
Thank you.
Here’s a few virtual tostadas. I hope you get to visit Mexico and have some awesome Mexican food soon.
Damn. That looks like fucking paradise!
I need that too. It's way too long since my last time on the beach..

Thank you friend. It really is paradise. I hope you can get some beach time in soon. It’s so good for the soul.
Are you getting fall weather there in Germany yet? I know up in Oregon, where I’m from it’s already getting cold and wet. Summer is so short. Once you get used to tropical winters it’s really hard to go back. 🌞🌺🏄♂️🏝 you can even 🏍 all year round. 😎
Yea. It's cold af again.. :(
Couldnt ride at all this year.. But have bigger problems..
But I need some time to just fall and relax and enjoy..

I hope you’re able to look back some time soon and see these “ bigger problems” as the catalyst that led you to a place that you really want to be. Sending you best wishes for some relaxation and joy!
Awesome pictures and inspiring post!
Thank you very much, and the resteem is greatly appreciated. Have a wonderful evening and happy Mexican Independence Day! Viva Mexico 🇲🇽
My pleasure to share such a nice post. Have a great day!
Amazing pictures! And I'm really not sure how is anyone able to do any work around these places - it's just calling to procrastination and just enjoying. :)
Surprisingly, after almost a year here, there are days when I don’t feel like going to the beach. Not many 😂
I love your photography, everything looks beautiful.
I also like your philosophy, so I agree 100% with this paragraph.
"Our world doesn’t have an overpopulation problem. One needs only explore the vast empty places on earth to see this is true. The problems attributed to overpopulation, are, in fact, caused by uneven distribution of the population."
Congratulations on a Curie vote, it makes a big difference.
Thank you so much for the compliment on my photography. I think more people every day are realizing the errors made by overly centralized systems and moving to correct the damage done.
The beach looks like a paradise and the sky looks like a lie because of its intense blue with almost no clouds. Thank you for this refreshing salt water bath that you provide with your publication. Only 1 cocada was missing to feel that I was there in the sand on the beach. Regards @choosefreedom
