Sickest I've Ever Been in My Life!

Blessings on the Weekend.

I am finally getting back to my normal self. On Monday I went to the Docs because I was feeling weak and lousy, I thought I had caught influenza. The Doctor did the test by pushing the Qtip thingy up my..... not my ass, my nose. The result was I didn't have influenza. Got some medz for the regular flu and was on my way.

After reaching back home I went to take a shower and realised there were some bumps on my chest and stomach. I knew exactly what it was. Why the fvk didn't the Doc give me a proper check up? That's Japanese docs for you, in and out like McDonalds.

The next day another Doc. The same Doc that saw my son's just a few days ago. When he saw me and I told him what I had he said......

" AHHHHH you are the Dad of the twins... you caught it too... oh SHIT!" ( He didn't actually say shit but yeah).

How it all started

A few weeks ago, the family and I went to Disney land. I wasn't really excited to go as .... well... well damn I am a man. I went for the kids sake. Now a part of me kinda thinks my somewhat negative vibe toward Tokyo Disney Land brought this disease upon my family..... NAH. Tokyo Disney Land is one of the most crowed places on earth, so many kids and adults with all kinds of disease sneezing and coughing to their delight waiting for hours in lines to ride attractions for 5 minutes. After getting back from Disney ( Just about 5 days) one of my son's got Chicken Pox! Now keep in mind my kids got the shot to prevent this disease, but they both caught it mildly. The other twin got it a week after the other one was well. It was very weak, a few bumps and not much of a fever or change in attitude.

Myself on the other hand, I GOT IT WICKEDLY. I was weak, my eyes hurt jus looking, fever had me shivering though hot and oh the fvkcing bumps all over...even on my head top ( not that head top). All I could do was take medz and SLEEP, SLEEP SLEEP! When people say chicken pox affects adults different from children, believe me, it is true! I wish this on no one. Get chicken pox when you are young, rub up on that bumpy friend.

Now it is Saturday, the bumps are healing ( scabbing ) but hurt, I feel them as my clothes brushes against them with the slight sweat from being outdoors ramping with the twins. My mind still not 100 but I feel a renewed energy ready to launch an attack.

Thoughts on why I got sick.

I believe everything happens for a reason including this sickness. I have a lot going on in my life, 9-5, ReggaeSteem, side biz, family and a lack of proper sleep. Most nights I am sleeping 4 or 5 hours max and waking up to drive 1.2 hours to go to work each way. How I see this sickness is God saying "Get some fvking rest or I will put you to rest!"

Take care of yourself folks. Get rest and take precaution especially in crowded places. Prevention is better than cure. Health is Wealth!

Oooh.
It's the first health or illness post I've seen in the tribe, I'm fine with it.

It's very funny your way of telling what happened @dmilliz. It has brought me several smiles.

Children go through this disease faster, and usually less traumatic. It's because their immune system is still immature and the body's reaction is less intense. When you are an adult, you have gone through so many viral diseases that when you face this virus the response of our body is extremely intense, so the terrible discomfort it causes.

But I'm glad you're better now. Viral diseases are a big problem, especially for its easy and rapid spread, be sure that many more (children and adults to the days of visiting Disney have had the same disease. Luckily, it happens, it's curable.

I think it was a doctor's mistake not to do a good physical exam and just assume it was just jna flu. But, it's human to make a mistake.

The important thing is that both you and your twins are fine.
And certainly, you have to rest, but the 8 hours of sleep is relative, varies from person to person, I'm also one of those who sleep 4-5 hours, not more, sometimes less. And rest, and I walk well with those few hours of sleep.

Well, excuse me, I wasn't thinking of doing a post inside your post. Blessings and may they be very well.

Yeah I was kinda iffy putting this “health” post on reggaesteem but I feel from time to time it’s good to post some personal stuff.

Oh man it was super intense! Good explanation as to why! Still in recovery mode but doing waaaaay better than last week.

Yeah Docs are busy so I don’t really blame him. It’s all a business after all.

Exactly , everyone is fine, I’ve got the chicken pox out my system ( well getting out) so I won’t get it again. It’s been a rough year for the fam, I expect 2020 to be a year of favor.

Yeah gotta make a down situation funny with a little humor.

I think I’m gonna go for 5-6 hours, I got things to do lol. Take care of yourself too bro, we really take sleep for granted in these times.

No worries man, it was some great communication, I enjoyed it. Stay blessed man!

I feel for you chicken pox is terrible for adults. My son got it at 4 years old the doctor said it was tonsillitis and prescribed antibiotics. As I knew that these meds would make it worse I didnt feed them to him cos it's a virus not bacteria. He had spots everywhere, up his nose in his ears and he nearly went crazy itching. Dont pick or knock the scabs off or they leave deep scars. They have to fall off naturally. Get well soon

Thanks! Yeah man it was serious, I really took the “getting chicken pox is terrible for adults” for granted. Woaah in your son’s ears n nose ! Sounds like he got it real bad! A lot of the times the docs mess up! Good thing you were vigilant. Doing my best to keep my hands of them 🙌🏾 .

Glad you are feeling better. We all have problems but you win for worst week.

Find something closer to home or take public transit part of the way if you don't need your car for work. You can curate on the train.

I hope they can get better soon chickenpox is annoying, the 15-year pass should consume a lot of liquid and fresh baths the worrying thing is that even children being vaccinated give them this virus or is strong ...
