There is a saying that a foundation of a house determines the duration of such a house. Houses with strong foundations stands strong when certain turbulences befall it, while houses with weak foundation falls at the slightest wind that comes it's way. Now this can be likened to that institution called marriage. A marriage can either be built on a weak foundation(lost and infatuation) or a strong foundation(love and God). Look at marriages today, you will realise that many couples have seen divorce as a gateway to solving there marital issues. I got into a discussion with an old friend who told me that he is tired of his marriage with his wife, on making more enquiries on why he said that, he told me that his wife attach more importance to her work than to him and as such he wants a divorce. "Really!!! Divorce", what happens to the oat in the alter?, what happened to "for better and for worse?" This is unbelievable, now my friends case is just one out of a million marital issues in the world today. You see many couples want and dream of perfect marriages that are void of issues forgetting the fact that no relationship or marriage is perfect. I have also read stories of people divorcing over and over and over again and than I began to ask myself, "how many times will these guys divorce the partners in their lifetime in the name of its not working out", and" why is divorce the only option ", and then I came to understand that these marriages have failed coz they were built on a wrong foundation and has also allowed the winds of marital temptations to blow them off. The truth is that every union made on earth is made in heaven and as such must pass through trials and temptations and so we should learn to work it out with our partners irrespective of what the case may be, bearing in mind that this thing called marriage is a lifetime contract and such must be respected. It is for better and for worse, so expect the both. Keep away from divorce and save your marriage. The bitter truth is, if you divorce him or her now, the next person coming into your life might not be better. So work out your marriage and settle your differences. A perfect marriage is what you make out of a cracked marriage.
