So many people in their twenties are under a huge pressure to become successful.
You're 25 today and tomorrow you're almost 28 and you don't understand how life has fleeted past so quickly, without any major achievements. Leaving you withered, stressed and older than you really are. You feel empty, broke and unfulfilled. You can't even sustain a relationship and all the responsibilities that come with it, so you shy away from love or commitment, hoping that one day you would have what it takes.

There's definitely a handful of people you know, they are within your age group and life is turning out so well for them, they are not better than you but seem to have things come to them with easy or they are just so lucky, but you always try your best yet feel left behind.

There's a suburban settlement behind my estate, At the close of each day, I drag myself back home, my tired eyes glinting a wane light of hope. I perch by the window to watch them, their children especially. I see some of them trudge home from school in their torn uniforms tired, some would even have tears in their eyes and mucous in their nose.
They would have dinner sprawled outside, under the light of the moon and the soothing evening wind, with all glee, they would mold balls as big as their heads, dipping it inside soup, very plain soup and sticking it into their mouths with laughter.

Later in the evening, they would come out and dance to different sweet music or any hip hop song filtering from their neighbor's radio. all the children dancing and laughing with barely rags covering their bum. How could people who have so little afford to be so happy? I try to be like them, to be happy too but all I have is hope, I try to let them teach me but sometimes escaping my kind of reality can be very difficult.

The truth is no matter how hard we try, we cannot become those children, given to laughter and happiness, in the midst of so much penury but we can learn something from them! How to find peace. It only takes an opportunity for the story of a man to change, while we wait. tired, weary and broke but yet we have to be constantly prepared!
