There has been a lot of talk about free speech and freedom of the press as of late. I'm curious where my fellow writers stand on the topic. What does "free" speech really mean? Where do you draw the line? Hate speech, false headlines, corporate manipulation....is this the price we have to pay for the freedom to express ourselves? Personally I've always felt that humor is one of the best ways to write about the things we want to say in such a way people will relate and accept them, or just not get the joke...but even comedians are under attack as of late. Steem group is a great example of people getting so upset about the kinds of posts they are seeing they write a post to complain about it...the irony being they simply add to the trash pile instead of trying to climb out of it. My hope my first post doesn't bore you.
