I'm really struggling today...
There I said it.
Not every day is a win.
Some days are just bad. I'm glad they are few and far between.
So what happened?
Well I'm honestly feeling overwhelmed with all on my plate today.
So I can't focus.
I can't get any momentum.
I begin to shut down.
I feel alone.
My only window to the world is social media, which helps a bit.
But again, it turns into a huge distraction.
So today is not that day.
I feel guilty.
I feel I've let people down -- my teams, my family, myself.
BUT why share this with you?
3 reasons:
- Owning up to this helps me to acknowledge and manage it better.
- Perhaps sharing vulnerability helps others knowing that we ALL go through this sometimes.
- I hope to start a discussion to provide both accountability & inspiration.
So what's next & how do I deal with a 'dark day'?
A. I acknowledge it happens.
B. I reach out to my support network.
C. I forgive myself.
D. I focus on gratitude for all that I do still have.
E. I embrace the idea that tomorrow is a fresh start.
With that I leave you: hopefully a little bit better, with a little more understanding & a little more hope.
