So I wanna talk about something really dear to my heart and its about your gut. Not that you have a gut of course and yes, we will talk about about food in just a second too.
What I mean here is ever since I was a little girl I have always tried to follow my womanly instincts and one of my dear motto’s in life is this : some of the best advice you will ever get will come from your gut instinct. I know, I know it sounds like such a cliché, right? Especially these days. Well it did come naturally to me, and not because its a trend today so I did proceed my instincts when it come to friendships, path, men and even food. We’ll talk about the rest another time but this brief story is about my relationship with food.
At age 13 (currently in my mid-twenties) I become a vegetarian after really understanding and drawing parallels where meat actually comes from and ever-since then I have been on and off again vegan too. For multiple various reasons I made this choice, such as ethics and health but overall instinct has always guided my choice so it come only naturally I continued this path during my pregnancy.
Do I need to tell you guys I had the most easiest perfect pregnancy ever?
When doctors said I will be ill and have a difficult pregnancy if I don’t consume red meat I listened to my feelings. So basically every month during baby development mommy needs different kinds of more nutrition and vitamins and my instincts were right. For example : If I needed more iron foods (which is typical during the mid pregnancy) I craved dark leaf salad, vegetarian sushi (seaweed contains 2.9 mg iron) or oatmeal and so on.
I really believe that women are so beautiful and magical, intuitive during these moments, even lucid - you should ask a pregnant woman an advice on your business or other important questions to you and 98% she might nail it, do thank me later guys.
Naturally I would follow my gut on food matters so to say with my babygirl coming into this world.
So my babe is 8 months old currently and during my last paediatrician visit her doctor was mad at me when she found out Im not providing her with meat products, even more so she tried scaring me into saying how my baby’s brain will get damaged, etc.
So what did I do? I consulted with amazing certified nutritionist and provided her with Tiffany’s some last meal history and the nutritionist was surprised how well fed my babe is, supported my decision saying that babies till age 2 actually shouldn’t even consume meat products ever and assured that unfortunately baby doctor’s have a poor education on nutrition and is based on old school standards, not that I want to put these doctors down, I know they want only the best for their little patients but what Im saying is a baby or a human can be & IS perfectly healthy and even more so consuming a plant based diet.. And isn’t that beautiful?
Every morning I spend 30 minutes in kitchen to prepare a nice, nutritionist meal for my babygirl. I pick only organic food and try to feed her whatever veggies are in the season & I steam the vegetables and blend as well. A tip for all you mama's out there - if your baby doesn't like veggies try adding your breastmilk or natural vanilla powder.

I'm glad your baby is happy and healthy! Those look like really nice meals! It's kind of scary that when it comes to nutrition everyone has a different stance. It makes you wonder where all these studies and such are coming from! Even though I am not vegetarian I see the benefits in being one.
