I just want to give you all a quick update on my FREE House take-down project. So, today I had worked on taking down more of the chimney while I still had use of the stairs; and now the stairs are completely and carefully removed.
So, if you remember from my last posts, here is what the stairway looked like. I wanted to preserve these stairs because they remind me of my childhood days when we as a family had stayed in a cabin for vacation that had a staircase just like this AND even in the SAME color! Having these same stairway in a future cabin build of mine will be a constant reminder of that great time we had as a family together in that cabin on a lakeside.
And, here is the staircase without the steps.
A view of the chimney to where I had taken down to as of now. I can now reach the rest of the chimney from the floor. I have been able to save quite a few bricks without breaking them for future projects... most likely for a hearth for a wood burning stove in the future cabin build.
Well that's it for now... I will keep you all posted in the future of more of this project. My next move on this project is to begin taking down the walls in about 10 foot sections to be hauled off to my property. So, stay tooned for more @tinyhousecryptos adventures!
