Such a good one. Treating others as we want to be treated is surely a golden rule, cause it's meant to make life here on earth better. It's just so unfortunate that we have not followed it.
From experience, I have found out that you can’t always understand or respect others, but you should make an effort to do so. It is proof of integrity if you can show compassion and respect for people even when you might think they don’t deserve it. You can’t know what they were thinking or feeling so you are in no position to judge them. You should treat others as you want to be treated even in the most awkward situations. There is no need to demolish their reputation or integrity just so that you could say all the things you wish to. Again, this could please you on the short-run, but will you be able to sleep at night? These are the kinds of things that could haunt you for years to come.
Your way might not be the best way
If you are working in a team and you have to come up with an idea, you shouldn’t think that an idea is bad simply because it’s not you who came up with it. Keep in mind that one can reach a destination in many different ways and your way may not be the only way. Learn to treat others with respect and remember that others can have good ideas too. Your prejudice might stop you from recognizing a solution that could solve all your problems. Give others some credit; for sure there are situations when you wish your ideas to be appreciated as well.
