Hebrews 13 vs 5

''Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you''

It's really an honor to take part in today's topic of being grateful for what we have.

I believe the person who deserves our Thanksgiving the most, and to whom we have given little is God himself. A lot of times we focus on the things we think He has not done, forgetting all the things He has done.

You’ve heard the hymn “Count Your Blessings” . But did you know that literally counting your blessings increases your emotional health?
Researchers had one group of students write for 20 minutes each day about things they were grateful for, a second about things they were angry about, and a third about random topics like the color of their shoes. Guess which group was happiest at the end of the experiment? The ones who wrote about things they were grateful for of course!
Even more interesting is that those who wrote about the things they were grateful for were less likely to be sick throughout the semester.

God has done somuch than we can enumerate. It's to our own benefit to be grateful to God for all He has done. Take time to remember what God has done in your life, and then write them down. It will help you cultivate a habit of Thanksgiving.
