Jesus also pointed out that God’s blessing comes from obeying the truth, not just knowing it. He said, “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them” (John 13:17).
I cannot overstate the value of being a part of a small Bible study discussion group. We always learn from others truths we would never learn on our own. Other people will help you see insights you would miss and help you apply God’s truth in a practical way.
The best way to become a doer of the Word is to always write out an action step as a result of your reading or studying or reflecting on God’s Word. Develop the habit of writing down exactly what you intend to do. And i want to thank you @gavvet for encouraging me with your scriptures. For some of us encouragement comes naturally, for others, not so much. I have a reminder in my calendar each day to send someone an encouraging note, email, text, or phone call. I need this reminder to pause, pray, and then intentionally try to spur someone on in Christ. Thank you @gavvet because you are that reminder. Even in my busy schedule, i come here and i am lifted to affect other lives and do the Word. I Pray for God to show me who to encourage, i ask God to bring someone to mind that yoPray for God to show you who to encourage. Ask God to bring someone to mind that i should reach out to.
