The name Lilith is mentioned in the Old Testament (as a “night ghost” in the Book of Isaiah) and in Sumero-Babylonian cuneiform tablets. The first image of Lilith is a beautiful-bodied woman standing surrounded by owls and lions. Leo is lust, passion. Owl - wisdom, consciousness. Aphrodite is there, Athena is here. Lilith intertwines these mostly conflicting archetypes. The name Lilith is mentioned in the Old Testament (as a “night ghost” in the Book of Isaiah) and in Sumero-Babylonian cuneiform tablets. Owl - wisdom, consciousness. Aphrodite is there, Athena is here. Lilith intertwines these mostly conflicting archetypes. Lilith was created just like Adam, from clay and fire. But when the time came for intercourse, they could not decide who would be on top, Lilith was offended and flew to the ends of the earth. Lilith became Lucifer's girlfriend and takes the lives of children at night. What is the essence of the Lilith archetype? First of all, it is an amazing unity of sexuality and will. Her creativity sprouts with pleasure, and pleasure becomes another poem. The traditional idea of a woman in the patriarchal myth reduces her to a function, to an addition, to a continuation of a man. There is no archetype farther from this lie than our Lady Lilith. Lilith will never betray her values and ideals even for the sake of the greatest love and fusion.
