I use the Ubuntu GUI app for updates. There are some actions where it's easier to use the command line, e.g. lots of specific parameters, but I'll use a GUI when it's easier. You generally can get some feedback of what's going on

    I think I've only ever used Synaptic, oh and Yast. But that was like 10 years ago?
