Is Power Up Better Than Holding Liquid Hive?

Hello everyone! This is my first time from a long time to post again. This time around, it's on Hive and not on Steem. I'm writing this post just to get your honest opinion with regard to which is better.

Would It Be Better To Invest More On Powering Up Or Invest More On Stacking Liquid Hive?

I'm asking this question because I know that not all of us are just focusing on posting or being active on hive blog. Some of us might be trading Hive thus I believe it would be beneficial for that person to have liquid hive rather than increasing Hive Power.

If I understand this correctly, having a lot of Hive Power would give you advantage over giving votes in the platform. If a person with good heart and intention would have a lot of Hive Power and use it for the benefit of the whole platform, then Hive might indeed has a better chance than steemit before.

I'm not very fan of Steemit at the moment due to some controversies happened in the past. As you all know, there's a reason why Hive was born and I believe that it is to protect the very essence of why Blockchain started which is "Decentralization".

Who doesn't want to be a free man?

Why I Think That Liquid Hive Is Better For Traders

If I answer my own question, I would say stacking liquid hive would be better if you're a trader trading Hive. There are couple of trading platforms for both Steem and Hive that you can use if you're not aware yet.

Two trading platforms I know of is Huobi and Binance. You may click the link below to get redirected to their website.

Of course, having a lot of Hive Power is indeed an amazing thing as well. Not only it gives you more influence on the platform, it also makes you look really cool and rich! LOL =D

Here are 3 benefits of having liquid Hive instead of Hive Power which I believe would be for traders trading Hive.

  1. Liquid Hive can be used/withdrawn anytime.
  2. If you have liquid Hive ready, then you're trade ready.
  3. Market crash won't hit you that hard.

A Brief Explanation

The first reason is quite very self-explanatory. We know that Hive Power can't be withdrawn instantly unlike liquid Hive. If you want to withdraw your Hive Power, you have to power down first and that would take some time. On the other hand, liquid Hive can be withdrawn instant which is as good as cash. Of course you still have to wait couple of minutes for the withdrawal process to complete but waiting minutes versus weeks is such a huge difference.

The second reason why I said that if you have liquid Hive, you're trade ready is because since you can withdraw liquid Hive almost in an instant, you can look out for opportunities in the market specially when there's too much volatility. If you're a trader, you surely know what I mean. You know how rich people do it whenever the price of cryptocurrency goes up, and it's just the same on Hive!

Now the third reason is quite different. Whenever there's a market crash, there could only be two possible outcome. That would be either the value/price of coin continues to go down, or the value/price of coin may suddenly went up after some time. Having liquid Hive would at least give you an option unlike if you all have it on Hive Power. If you have it all on Hive Power and there's a sudden market crash, then all you can do is wait and pray that the coin price would recover. If you have liquid Hive on the other hand, you can either wait for the price to recover, or exit with cash and use that cash from sold Hive to buy the dip.
