Lisk Network Down and OpenLedger Domain Hacked

in #lisk7 years ago

LISK which is (kind of) javascript version of Ethereum got its network down today with some bug and attack.

"Lisk Blockchain Temporarily Halts Due to an Automated Security Measure - All Funds Safe and Fix Implemented".

Price didnt dump though but funny to see Yobit as 2nd exchange with volume. I expect this exchange to be one of the early to make exit...

OpenLedger (not linking it) got all their domains access stolen. They are the most known Bitshares based decentralized exchange. Currently its suggested to use direct BTS wallets or Crypto-Bridge.

Centralized Exchanges

Those work and have no issues.

  • Binance - the obvious top vol exchange, has STEEM
  • BiBox - amazing China exchange, similar to other two above with different coins
  • CoinExchange - many ETH tokens and anon coins like ZEC XZC EXCL
  • COSS - many deals on ETH tokens for arbitrages
  • Cryptopia - some decent coins that others dont have and nice volumes

Do you think Lisk will dump soon because of this? I made some great gains from it in january

Is it possible to get assets off of openledger? I have some openbtc that I want to transfer.

Unlikely. I had/have a transaction I wanted to cancel but was unable to, because openbtc is in limbo over this hack.

I'm delighted to see that Lisk has not been dumped because of this, hopefully they will be back running ASAP. Thanks for notify.

Thank you for posting crypto related updates like this one. I assume blockchains will continue to be tested and they will evolve over time to resist all the possible hacks.

Do you know if LISK is a proof of work type of blockchain?

Very interesting topic, thanks for sharing!

Dear All, I sympathize with those users who were affected by the recent hosting provider’s account breach. Though it wasn’t our fault that credentials of some OpenLedger DEX wallets were stolen, resulting in lost crypto assets, I couldn’t stay still. Starting from July 2, our trading platform will launch the Reimbursement Program for such users. Read more in the official announcement at https://dex.openledger.io/access-issue-ol-reimbursement-program. Yours sincerely Ronny Boesing, CEO, OpenLedger ApS.
