Nothing is more relaxing than taking a late flight. Coming early to the airport wirhout stress ... checking in to your Lufthansa flight and seeing „on standby“ on your ticket...
I asked why... the flight is 50 % overbooked...
SHIT
but wait there are worse things than beeing stuck in Portugal...

Here's the update:
@schererf stayed with me in Lisbon and TAP payed for the Hotel and the expenses... we tried to make the best out of it:
So we took a flight later on the next day. Unfortunately this time the luggage of Frank was lost. And in the luggage the car keys... so now we were again stuck in an airport. This time in Frankfurt. At times Karma is a bitch.
It became quite late in the evening before we finally reached home.
Now I am sick with some kind of influentia. Probably it is not the most healthy thing to do staying 48 hours in the same Tshirt while waiting in an airport for something to happen.

had my flight overbooked, bumped.. got 400 euros compensation + free hotel and took the plane the day after ;)
