Hello everyone!
Over the past year I have notice the rewards I got for reading articles, curating them and giving (sometimes usefull) feedback were rapidly declining.
This was ofcourse because a lot of people don’t read their comment section and instead sell their votes.
For the past few days I have been making a list of people who appreciate people giving feedback on their articles and repay that with a vote or a reaction (this doesn't mean they upvote all comments, but they probably will upvote good feedback).
Most of the people on the list will give upvotes for usefull comments above the dust threshold (usd 0.02+).
So if you want to earn some steem by reading articles curating them and giving feedback, you can use this list to find people who will actually read react to or upvote your feedback.
Please do not go around spamming stupid comments like “Nice.” or “Great content!” but instead provide usefull feedback!
If you are or know someone who should definetly be on this list please let me know in the comments below so I can add them/you to this list as well in next weeks update!
@abh123 @abigail-dantes @anomaly @apolymask @bashadow @berniesanders @binkyprod @brian.rrr @coruscate @davedickeyyall @davemccoy @fraenk @d00k13 @freebornangel @gillianpearce @gric @johndoer123 @kaliju @kryptocek @lyndsaybowes @majes.tytyty @martyart @meesterboom @meno @modernzorker @momogrow @ogoowinner @playfulfoodie @raised2b @@@reinhard-schmid @richq11 @shortcute @sorin.cristescu @surfyogi @timecliff @vincentnijman @xpilar @Aggroed @tucancrypto @donkeypong @cryptoctopus @paulag
I recommend using an initiative such as @dustsweeper just to be sure.
Last week I made a similair post with people who were active in their comment sections and did the same but only with less voting power, so if you finished this list and feel like you have more time to kill, here is the link to last weeks post :
https://steemit.com/list/@flyingdutchman/want-to-earn-money-steem-by-reading-content-and-giving-your-feedback-here-is-a-list-of-people-who-read-react-to-and-upvote
Thanks for the mention @flyingdutchman
Education is key to many good things, including this complex platform and its "rules of engagement "
you are welcome and I agree, that is one of the reason I like steemit so much, you will learn a lot and earn while doing it.
Thanks for dropping by!
Thanks for the mention, @flyingdutchman! I try to curate my comments as best I can, even though I don't have a lot of Steem Power to my name at the moment. And @dustsweeper's usefulness cannot be overstated. They are a wise investment for all Steemians. :)
sure thing! I agree dustweeper is awsome, too bad I only found out about it this week.
Great way to get more engagement i like this site but it seems like when you work hard on your post no one sees it
I felt the same when I started on the platform. Months on row and many posts with no upvote.
You might want to read this old post of mine :
Help yourself: Steemit for Dummies
Mil gracias!!!!
Thats true, too many people selling votes instead of reading stuff.
thanks for dropping by!

I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortunately, not many people actually read posts. People are so lazy nowadays😄
I think it's all about making friends here:)

Nice work and it’s great to see the effort you are putting in. It is not easy to create and maintain such a list.
And it can be a great resource for newbies. Knowing who is interacting with their followers can be rewarding and a give nice kick for the motivation.
thanks!
I agree, I hope they will try it out, thanks for taking the time to leave a reply!
hehehhe I got a mention this time. But really, nice work. Finding the right people and the right communities are half the battle
I agree, thanks!
Thanks for putting me on to this re yr last post! Although it's more challenging to upvote over dust with steem tumbling!

This is a great list. I took the time to check them all out and you did a good job. I'm sure there are more of them on the platform though.
I'm pretty new to this but sometimes I can see some good posts with practically zero upvotes and this can be really heartbreaking. I think those of us who are quite new here should support each other especially when good content is involved. Doing this will help us all grow on this platform which is great for the Steemit community.
Thanks! I agree there are many more, so I am going to keep adding to the list untill I got them all (gotta catchem all!).
I hope this list will be usefull to a lot of new steemians so they can read and give their opinion or give feedback and while doing this get their first few followers and curation rewards on their comments.
I also really hate it when great content gets underrated, however that is exactly how it works on steemit, the ones with loads of steempower or followers will get lots of upvotes for shitty content and the steemians with less sp and followers that get less rewards for better content (they will gain followers ofc.)
So all I can say to newer steemians is : Keep creating quality content and the profits will come after a while, don't get discouraged if your first few posts get low rewards.
Thanks for dropping by, taking a look at the list and leaving a comment!
I honestly think we need to identify ourselves within the community and help those content creators grow. If they grow by virtue of curation, we all grow.
This list you created is one way to go about it. Lets band together as a team especially those with low sp and the new guys, and help each other out especially those with amazing content.
Looking forward to your next post btw. I like you already
Yes I agree with what you are saying, it looks really hard for new people or people with low SP to get their first few followers or rewards.
We should band together a little however, 1000 people with 15 SP each will only make 15k SP wich means it is more usefull to get 1 upvote from a older steemian than a 1000 newer ones.
So banding together might help, but it is not a real solution.
on top off that even if you gather 1000 rookies (lets call em that) they can only vote 10x a day so within the 1000 rookie group you are bound to get a few that get all the votes and a few that get none.
I would just focus on improving the content and stuff, and hope a big guy will notice you.
Could it also be because steem prices are so low that many cannot upvote comments above dust level very easily any more? I used to upvote every decent comment on my posts, but in order to get them above dust level I need to use 50% or more voting power, which has made me have to reduce how many I vote for, sadly. I'll always try to answer every one, still though. I've taken to dropping small votes on commentor's latest articles where I'm not already upvoting them, or adding my vote to a comment that is near to or above dust level.
A big encourager of commenting is mattclarke. He realises that interaction is key to a social media site and is often more likely to vote for comments over posts. I don't know if you know tarazkp? He's another who is a builder of the community aspect. His posts are usually along the lines of encouraging conversation. The witness, ura-soul, I've also found to be a good communicator. A good sign in a witness.
There are many who prize comments, it's just a matter of finding them.
PS: sorry I missed the payout window on this post.
Thanks for your reply and my opologies for my late response, I have been realy busy in real life.
Of course it is not just the fact that people rather sell votes then upvote other people, I think it is a mix of circumstances, an important one being what you said about low steem prices.
Thanks for telling me about matt and taraz, Very usefull!
Don't worry about missing the payout, I don't care about author rewards, I made this list so I know where to engage, I only decided to share the list when it was close to being done!
I will add you to the list and check out the matt and taraz, thanks a bunch!
No apology needed. Life's like that. I can imagine that your list will become huge as you slowly collect all the engaged users up. It's just a matter of making connections and everyone will know of a few more like that. I'm pretty sure most people get fed up of commenting, interacting on and upvoting posts of users who rarely respond.
Hello @flyingdutchman. You made a great list of people paying attention to their commentators here. I will resteem this post to have these people saved on my page)) I would also want to be included in this list. You can check it @johnstone. I always do upvote most of my comments and reply to them. This will be an honor to me to be included in your list. Thank you!
That is great thanks for replying! in a few days I will update the list and I will add you to it.
I hope it will be of use.
Hey, @ eveuncovered gives upvotes on quality comments, so check her out!
I will, that's great thanks!
This is a grate job, I will say @flyingdutchman weldone for a good article like this, you have waken up some of us like me to know much I didn't understand or know.
I have a friend whose name is not include in your list and I feel and hope it was a miss out. That is @uche-nna, @prettyjules158 there do well on their comment reward.
Thanks again for work welcome.

Thanks mate! let us all get rich! haha
Guao!
wait, wut?
Corregida la gramática... fue por el apuro. Revisa...
yes, I agree.
Thanks for revising the list to people with more voting power. I have 1000SP but have a lot of it delegated out. Perhaps I should pull back some SP delegation so that my own manual curation efforts are worth more and could make a list like this. I am happy to have made the first list because I am a good commenter, poster and try to engage people.
That would be awsome, I liked the first list but it had a major flaw.
People who were not using an initiative like @dustsweeper would barely make any profits since most of the votes are below the dust threshold.
So therefore a new list, I am going to use both these lists on daily bases, removing the people who stopped reading and upvoting usefull feedback and adding new people do just that. I hope every week (when I update the list) it will become a better list improving the profits for the people reading the content and providing feedback as well as the people creating it.
I will keep updating both lists on a weekly bases, thanks for your comment!
I am also thinking about ranking the people on this lists but I have no idea about how I should do that and it seems like a whole lot of work, any ideas about that?
I am just getting back to catching up on my replies. I don't know how to rank the people unless you get some sort of tool that can mine who is actually replying to who. I am sure stuff like that is out there, but it would have to be tweaked to your needs and that is beyond my scripting knowledge. @flyingdutchman - you have motivated me to engage more and go back to my replies and now I am trying to keep up with my mentions as well. I was away in Atlanta and am back now, so I will get caught up tonight and tomorrow with more original posts, replies and comments. Thanks for keeping me honest.
Haha no problem dude, you seemed honest enough to begin with!
How do you see if someone has mentioned you? can you set notification for that or something?
hi @flyingductchman
Thank for providing good stuff. Yes you said right when you wrote a good post it should be commented with feedback.
Your post will be useful for us like upcoming steemians.
thank you
You are very weclome. I hope it will be.
I like the way you think and applaud your efforts here 100% :) ... Keep it up and thanks for including me in it too... Honored to see this post and to be with such outstanding company!
That's awsome, thanks!
Keep it up, I hope this will increase your profits a little!
Hi - add me to the list. I can get behind this for sure.
Also I think everyone who uses @dustsweeper needs to have some kind of footer to indicate as such (mybe?)
