Sounds like you will be taking the opportunity when you can get it from your mom! : - ) Good for you!! As for the side note, I wish I could say the same thing....when I told them it was like I was a stranger to them, they couldn't understand it no matter what I said. I even had them watch the documentary as well. I am glad to hear though that your experience went fairly well!
She enjoys seeing the grandkids, so doesn’t mind coming over. :) I’m sorry to hear that. I can’t imagine being a stranger to our own parents.
Unfortunately your situation is not the norm and mine is. Most of the people I have talked to experience their family and friends treating them like they have the plague!
