Litecoin has shot up an astounding 36% in the past 24 hours!
This could be due to several key factors..
- Litepay will be released to 41 countries on February 26th.
- Coinbase has launched Coinbase Commerse, a new service for merchants allowing Ethereum, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin to be integrated into the payment options.
- News of a Litecoin fork where every holder of Litecoin will receive 10 coins of the supposed "Litecoin Cash". "Litecoin Cash" has been labeled a scam and is not the works of the Litecoin team.
Although I do see massive potential gains for Litecoin in the future, I believe this may be a short lived gain for the time being as many have had FOMO(Fear of Missing Out) and bought up Litecoin in an attempt to snatch up the supposed 10 coins waiting for them. Only time will tell what the future has in store.

The market has seen a steady increase in value over the day. Starting off at a low of $428,229,000,000 and going to a high of $462,081,000,000.
This is a great amount of growth in comparison to what has been happening lately.

Bitcoin Hitting a low of $8,827.76 early on in the day. Shooting to a high of $9,518.54. Extremely solid gains of around 9%
Ethereum Starting off low at $862.92. While hitting a high of $926.42 in the evening.
Solid gains just under 8%
Ripple Starting off the day trading at a low of $1.03 and hitting a high of $1.15.
Daily gain of around 7.5%
Neo Trading at a low of $113.47 early on in the day. Seeing a steady increase throughout the day to a high of $123.02.
Great daily gain of about 10%

With the government now talking about cryptocurrency and blockchain, mainly speaking on how to go about implementing regulations, the technology is now being brought to the attention of the general population. As more people are exposed to and understand the purpose and the technology behind all of these projects, only then will we see the true potential unleashed.
