You are right. Charlie tweeted a day ago showing 24hr transaction comparison between Bitcoin, BCash and Ripple. Litecoin was the only coin significantly used which showed people are using LTC as means of trade.
I guess once Lightening Network is up and running BTC's transactional performance would increase and be similar to Litecoin but I feel people would still use Litecoin as a crypto to buy coffee.
Also personally I have noticed the way Litecoin team upgrades the platform. Since Charlie took it seriously, it has always been crisp and a quality release with almost no faults after its releases. I am sure it would be 25 LTC to 1 BTC in a year or two. Personally after Bitcoin, I believe in Litecoin, IOTA and Ethereum as of now.
