Now, you got me on this. I have nine Ayn Rand's books (including all of her novels) but I've read just one! Why? I don't know! Among the many writers and books I have on my bookshelf waiting to be read, she's the one with more unread titles, but thank to this reminder, I'm gonna change that really soon. Thanks for sharing.

Another writer I don't know! I haven't read anything about Ayn Rand. But speaking of her followers, I have read that despite not being studied at American universities, she is one of Donald Trump's favorite writers, in fact, as she is the favorite of many U.S. politicians and businessmen, I imagine from her way of seeing and talking about individualism and success. It strikes me how this author was able to channel her negative experiences with the politics of her country to talk about politics in general, and leave an ideal or thesis. Another writer in the long list of authors to read. Thank you for this series, @honeydue

In an age when we celebrate women's achievements, I feel that Ayn Rand is severely underrated. Her work, as far as I see it, is more influential than the likes of Margaret Atwood and JK Rowling. Ayn Rand did not only provide us with good science fiction literature but also with prescient blueprints of the future. Thanks for writing this.

Thanks for writing this great introduction about Ayn Rand. As I was reading this I really wanted to know your take on her legacy. What about her made her so magnetic? Do you think she is worth the hype? What made Objectivism so alluring to Americans in the 20th century? Why do you think public perception has shifted against her in recent years?I think this piece is a great start and I hope you write more of your take on your subjects in the future.

objectivism, which has no relation to Rand, represented fundamentally by American writers such as Charles Reznikoff, George Oppen and Louis Zukofsky. Greetings.I thank you for your work of informative and evaluative synthesis on this author, @honeydue. I have read something from and about Ayn Rand. I recognize that I have not been interested in her writing or conception, that it seems to me a mixture of ideas already present in previous thinkers and philosophers, only that she frames them in a premeditated rationalist line and at the service of capitalism. I distrust any writer or thinker who sets himself up as a leader and his thought in a closed system. I am more interested in poetic

Would one say that her self proclaimed acolytes did not stay true to the faith? 😊
