There's not a day that goes by that we are not faced with having to throw something out. Waste management is incredibly important and should help us consider whether we reduce or recycle.

my buddy used to grow like this. one time he grew a pineapple and another time an avocado tree...well at least he tried... avocado is hard...

Yes, you are absolutely right- teaching these kinds of projects from a young ages is very important.
