It's very rare to encounter people who "just" throw trash into the street.
I do sometimes see stuff on the floor, I just didn't imagine that people purposely did that.

In Nigeria, it's 'easy' to find people who actually try to dump stuff everywhere, buses, classrooms, roadsides, etc
Maybe it's partly because there are usually no waste bins to drop them in. Or maybe we just need to learn to live responsibly

Drink bottles and cans are prolific all along our road. I liked the part where Bob said his bag wasn't a trash can...people seem to have the same attitude about their cars and instead of tossing empty bottles and cans out once they get home, they pitch them out the windows while they drive :(
