I'm not entirely surprised about having some negative feedback due to the fact that this topic is so deeply politicized and that people have been primed and polarized by media and social media. I'm not bothered by it. I'd be surprised if there was no negative feedback. I'm just hoping that it might provoke some thought on the subject and maybe spark a bigger conversation.
I tried submitting it for OCD as it's a good response. Seems the DV prevents the upvote, sorry. No one wants to talk about it rationally.. they all just want to have an opinion.
No worries. Thanks for the support. It's not an easy conversation and people are fed up. The best thing I could do was quite what was on my mind and see if it resonates or sparks a conversation. The rest is up to the universe and that's ok by me. 🙂

I like Stephen Pressfield's outlook on writing and other artistic endeavors. He says, to paraphrase, that artists have to put aside the result and surrender to the work.
After reading his book "The War of Art", I'm starting to feel more content with getting the satisfaction from the work without the expectation of reward. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.
