London Attack

in #london8 years ago

Last night London was under attack again. I am back in London this week visiting my brother. I used to live and work in London 3 years ago in the exact same place that these latest attacks occur.

It is quite a shock to see people innocently enjoying their lives be targeted in such a random manner. But that is the thing, it is essentially a random attack by some extremists that do not represent the beauty that London city offers. My day was spent at Kew Gardens and Richmond showing my friend from Vienna around. We then caught up with friends in Wimbledon for dinner and drinks.

It was not until we returned home that we heard about the attacks.

My thoughts with those directly affected and prayers with those that unfortunately have died including the attackers themselves who for whatever reason felt the need to orchestrate such an atrocity. And it is this point that we should closely at. Why is it that there are people that believe that this is the only way they have to try and change the world.

I believe that we all have a responsibility to educate our peers. Do not spread hatred. Hatred is the cancer of society that achieves nothing more than to spread more. I ask you all to reflect on life and question why such acts like this happen. We are all responsible in making the world a better place.

Have a good day. Appreciate what you have today. Smile.

Yes, it's very sad to see these kind of attacks happening repeatedly. Having stayed in central London for quite some years now, I can only say that nothing can take the vibrancy out of this place. It is one of the best places to be and it will forever remain the BEST. Stay safe.
