Spinning steel wool is a lot of fun and it also can be just a tad dangerous, as this photo kind of demonstrates. The streaks you see in the photo are sparks that are flying into the air and due to the long exposure effect with the camera it results in the streak lines you see in the picture. People sometimes forget its a hot flying ball of steel that is on FIRE!! In this picture you can see one streak being really close to the camera. Funny story, it actually landed on my arm and then I realized I had several little balls of fire around my feet and more coming at me, as the steel wool continued to spark. Fire safety is a real thing when doing this, as the sparks can land quite a distance and be mindful that small fires can start if you are not paying attention...

Pretty amazing.
If you’d have caught fire, it would have been a nice interesting addition to that pretty pic. :P
haha - thanks! I will keep that in mind next time we do decide to play around with steel wool and long exposure photoshoots
How I love the long exposure photos of this style. As you say, better than the photo itself is how fun it is to take the picture. I'm glad to see you do something different from what you usually do, that shows versatility in your work.
Thanks, mate! growing and stepping outside of your usual comfort zone is where living is, right?
Totally agree, that makes you better and better!
Cool light painting @thomasjmitchell. I have wanted to try this :D
Hmm,
It's good you didn't catch fire cos it's really dangerous but...
you just made a beauty out of danger!!
KUDOS
Enjoy the life to the fullest. Being alive for 100 years or more in a room, is not sonething to dream of. Doing all the fun, even for a short time have more worth than those 100 years. Nice catch.
Great shot 🙂
Enjoy fun
