First off, it is good that you are thinking about it and not rushing into anything.
You are just out of school and just starting college and have much of a new life to experience yourself in that alone. One year is not a very long time to really get to know someone. Personally I think you should see how college goes for a while. Starting a family really takes up most of your time, especially when you have children.
Since he is older, he has 9 years longer to experience things in life and I think if you rush into it, you may regret it later... If he really cares about you, he will understand, whatever your choice is... It is your choice.
You really do not want to get married because of pressure from others, that can only end badly I would think.
Then again, I could be wrong however I am speaking with some experience in the matter. :)
Oh... I don't think your dad is actually backwards on this as much as he loves you and is concerned about your future.. any father would be and will be the same when you have children... but, the sooner you do have children the sooner "you" will have to worry about things like that. ; )
Oh, and on a funny note.. based on my experience I certainly would not get married unless I was old enough to drink hard liquor... you may need it. lol

Thank you for giving me advice. My country is almost married pretty soon. In rural areas the age of marriage is 16. But with today's modern society people focus on work and they get married late.

Actually there is no right or wrong answer to your question and only time has that answer.
Either choice really becomes what you make of it I guess. These are only considerations from an outsiders point of view but I wish you both the best whatever you decide. :)
