Christ commanded we love our neighbors and that we provide for the needy, but our government and the society we live in has turned a deaf ear to this commandment.
Well Val was actually fun for me today, lol, not because I took my wife, family or girlfriend out, but because I was out on the streets showing love to the less privileged by giving out snacks to children and clothes to children and adults. The day started on a bad note as I had to wait under intense heat with @poet99 before the woman who was supposed to sell biscuits, drinks, noodles etc came around which at about just a few minutes to 1pm. Another thing that made it a bad start was that most of our volunteers did not show up. Well we packed the stuffs and off we went, starting from Iwo road under bridge, hmmm, the people there were so unruly that about 20 had the 66 packs we went with, I was annoyed! but then what could I do? When we wanted to give them the clothes, the same thing repeated itself so we left the clothes with them and off we went passing through Gate to Mokola, roundabout, the people they were so civil and even when the children wanted to be unruly, their parents cautioned them. It gave me great joy to see smile on the faces of both young and old, and yes I met a guy named Wale, he is 17 years old, spoke with him extensively, he dropped out of school while in JSS3 'cos his father died but would like to become a barber, gave him my number to call. If you would like to support in setting him up kindly indicate in the comment box.
Thanks to God and team members for the success of our "showing love on the streets". Just doing my part in a little way to ensure a better society. What about you? Remember, h world would be a better place if we all join hands to make it so.
God bless your kind heart @admab keep on doing good and you shall never have to ask before God will indeed raise helpers on your behalf
