Valentines Day, Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is the celebration of love, affection and romance, Christian people around the world celebrate valentines day every 14th of February but most of us don't know how and where Valentine's day began.

His real name is Valentine, He is known as Patron Saint of Love" born 226 AD, died on February 14, 269 AD, in Rome Italy, buried in Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church, Dublin Republic of Ireland.
History of Saint Valentine
Saint Valentine is a priest, bishop in Terni Italy, The story starts when Emperor Claudius II, a Roman ruler was determined to build a group of soldiers to defend his empire.The emperor had to maintain a strong army, believing that young men, with no wife or dependents, would be more likely to go to war than those attached to their wife and children, the reason Claudius banned all marriages and engagements in Rome. Valentine felt this was unfair and injustice so he broke and opposed the rules, arranged marriages in a secret way, He performed clandestine Christian weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry. Valentine was arrested the by Rome Emperor Claudius 11 when he found out, and discover Valentine's actions, the Emperor ordered to put him in jail and sentenced to death.
When he was in jail people who loved him shows their support by throwing flowers and sending notes through the prison bars, expressing their belief in marriage and love. He did also cure miracles by healing Julia, the blind daughter of his jailer Asterius. Before his execution to death St. Valentine left a farewell note for Julia who had become his friend, signed it “From Your Valentine.”It was February 14,269 AD when he was being killed beaten to death and to have his head cut off.
Valentines Day was originated after Saint Valentine Death, Pope Gelasius a third and last Bishop of Rome of Berber, declared February 14 as St Valentine's Day. It was first established in 496 for giving an honor to Saint Valentine's as a martyr.
The remains of the martyr Saint Valentine are enshrined at Dublin’s Whitefriar Street Church.
Every year in the month of February 14th, visitor’s flocks to the Carmelite Church on Whitefriar Street in Dublin to visit the shrine of St. Valentine.
Scientists made a discovery by collecting the skull of St Valentine, After a long intricate process, they were able to produce an image showing what St Valentine looked like.
They dressed the image in Red color which symbolizes both love and martyrs, for it is the color of blood, and there is no greater love than to give one's own life for the sake of a beloved.
Valentines Day can be express not only by exchanging gift but also by creating an artistic design of decoration.
