my dad, so many many many years ago
My dad has always been a pillar in my life, granted he isnt the perfect example of peak human achievement, but he is a great dad.
All my life, I was given the liberty to choose my own path, not restricted by what my parents wanted me to study etc
While my dad did wish that I would study medicine as he did, I was always given the freedom to choose whatever I wanted.
Funny thing, cause I ended up choosing music, and stuck with it all through.
With respect to today being fathers day and all, I decided to dedicate a post to my dad, a blockchain reminder of just how much I appreciate him.
So, many of yall may not know, but my dad is actually on steemit, and not known for his medical, or science oriented posts, perhaps the most interesting thing about his blog is that he posts about photography.
That's also one thing with my family, courtesy of my dad, we all have different hobbies which bring us a little joy, a little happiness, something we love that takes the stress away.
My senior bro is an engineer, a badass one at that, but he plays piano for the church he works with, heck, one can say, his skills with the keyboard got him the job.
My junior bro loves to draw, an upcoming artist whom Im already training in ways of capitalizing his talent, but his job /career path is taking him towards architecture.
All this comes from our dad who is actually a medical doctor by profession, but a magnificent photographer, IT enthusiast, and philosopher.
The belief that life is a continuous stream of water, that our problems are disturbances that causes ripples in the said water, but ultimately it all smooths out, is pretty much rooted in our family thanks to dad.
For me, it pays to appreciate one's dad, not just for bringing you into the world, but for the help and assistance all through.
And when I say dad, it doesn't always have to be biological, I've heard stories of a complete stranger adopting someone as his/her child.
Perhaps the right term for this holiday should bee ''happy father figure day''? Anyway, its great to have someone of that classification in one's life, it fills up a void, and even if as an individual one didn't have such a figure in their life, they should strive as much as possible to be that figure for someone else.
Once we were young, and soon we will be old, having kids of our own, it's going to be interesting being on the receiving end of a father's day compliment, till then however, I remain

A blockchain reminder haha. I think your dad will be proud of all you've accomplished. The freedom to choose your own path which he gave you indicates he's an understanding person. I may not know him personally, but he sounds like a model father that others should emulate. Cheers
